Montana Hope for Horses is an equine rescue dedicated to rescuing horses that are neglected, abandoned, abused, or “at risk” of being sent to slaughter. Rescued horses shall be evaluated and have their individual medical and nutritional needs prioritized and implemented, affording them the eventual opportunity of being placed for adoption into loving and caring “for-ever” homes. All rescued horses that are adopted will be in contract with Montana Hope for Horses for their future protection. It is the goal of Montana Hope for Horses to insure that every horse that is rescued never has to be rescued again, and is afforded a life deserving of such a noble animal.

This is our Miss Hope She came to us in really bad shape in the summer of 2012. This poor pony couldn't walk without being in pain from the lack of hoof care. She had to abscess on her hoofs. She was so bad that we had to pick her up to put her in the trailer. After the Ferrier and vet check we almost had to put her down to stop her suffering, she was very flat and had open wounds from lying down too much. Her body scale was a 2 (4/5 being normal). I just didn't want to give up on her and either did she. We did everything we could to bring her back to a healthy state and now Hope is doing wonderful, she is feeling better but she will never be normal. She runs around and greats all the newcomers
